If a plastic container does not have the symbol on the bottom can it not be recycled?

Everyone knows you can't recycle pizza boxes right? Something about the food stuff stuck to them....had an issue with that a few years ago. Same with milk jugs...

Plastic has different polymer blends, some use different dyes and fillers, thus not ALL plastic is meant to be "recycled!" Thus why most have the recycle stamp on them, this was actually a very good question by kirch that got trolled as usual, however if you do throw unacceptable material in the bin it is sorted and processed quickly so its not that big of a deal. My gf mom works for Indianapolis sanitation department
