Ok, I need to know if I were to get a Arowana what is the size tank I am going to need? Would a 180 be good or would I need something bigger???

You really are going Monster! What kind of Arrow do you want?

I'd say at least a 240. these things get big, especially the silvers

I think a 180 might be OK for a Jardini. What is the footprint?

my friend has his jardini in a 125 and its doing fine...

It will for awhile, but eventually it would have a tough time turning around. I would say 2 ft depth is the way to go.

IMO (ideally)...

keep in mind, I have no direct experience keeping large aros
silver: 6x2 for 2 years, 8x30"-3' for a long time
jar/lei: 6x2 for many years, 8x30" for life
black: 6x2 for 3 years?, 8x30"-3' for a long time
asian: 6x2 for life or at least a really long time
african: no idea

My retarded friend has a Jardini.. In a 24"x9"x12" tank.. The Jar is about 7" and has been in the tank for about 6 months with no prob...

i had mine from 3" to 5" in a 20g and it was fine. mine is in a 55 now probably until it is 10" or so, then i will try it in my 210. smaller is fine when they're small, i was just saying once they start getting big, that's what I would keep them in.
