Ignorant Girl Kills Tortoise

It would be hypocritical if anyone on here were keeping endangered species in captivity. There is a distinction to be made between the death of a sustainably sourced aquarium fish and a species listed under the endangered species act. If you were keeping endangered fishes, I would hope fish and wildlife would show up at your door, too.

you want fish and game to fine a minor for her good intent gone wrong? I want to make sure I'm clear. Government involved on an innocent mistake?

Was the tortoise actually an endangered species? I asked earlier and I don't recall it being identified.

It would be their job... Although i never said i wanted to see her fined/jailed/or executed, but I do think she should at least me made aware of the implications of her actions. You can't fix stupid, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try... I don't actually think she had much intention other than making a cute video, clearly she doesn't actually care that much about wildlife give her lack of familiarity... Regardless, ignorance is not an excuse for breaking the law.

Lol,the administration at work loves to use a similar line to write up employees.....Lack of knowledge is no excuse.

Another question for you, and it could be a hard one for you, since this animal is not native to your area. Have you seen a red ear slider? Does it have flippers or feet?
No, I'd never heard of it until last night, I looked them up before bed, they're adorable. :D and personally I'd consider them webbed feet until someone told me what they're actually called. :)

Again, not trying to argue.

So they have feet, according to you, not flippers...
