I have had nothing but good experiences with this product.
I had some extensive exposure to Tea Tree Oil several years ago through a company that marketed products for human use. I found it fairly useless--another "holistic" product, like blue-green algae etc. that was mostly a gimmick to sell stuff. I suspect that the same applies to fish, although fish are not even susceptible to the placebo effect that helps some humans. I doubt it is harmful in small doses but I also doubt it is very useful. I tried Melafix once for my fish--nothing. Just my humble opinion.dirtyblacksocks;1647659; said:MelaFix is a mild antibiotic made from tea tree leaf extract, it's a holistic medication and isn't really effective in any serious infections - sort of like putting neosporin in your tank.
Ich is probably the easiest thing to cure, just add 1 tblspn of salt per 5 gallons to agitate the slime coat and gill function and increase the temps to 86 for a week.
