:iagree: Keeping Reptiles isn't a whole lot different than fish, except the only water you change is in a dish. (Unless you keep Caiman:ROFL:) And IMO keeping Herps is more rewarding. Since I started keeping Herps more so than fish, I am a lot more relaxed with the hobby, There's a lot less running around with buckets. And you can't take a fish out of its tank and walk around with it on your shoulder, or take it outside either:grinno: (Well... you can't do that with a Caiman either:ROFL:)

jealous? lol. now i just need to get the caiman. so hard to find one the size i need.

u dont know me well then do u?:D:screwy:

And lol @ reptile keeping, Id rather keep nothing than a live rodent eating snake...

Captive bred snakes usually grow up eating frozen/thawed rodents and most snakes that grew up eating live can be converted over to pre-killed and frozen/thawed prey. c:

It's really nothing different than feeding any other carnivorous pet, in that case.

I know right? Keeping reptiles is almost as dumb as putting fish in glass boxes to look at them. Some people...

I have had this phase. You know how many times I have considered clearing my 30g in favor of a Rat Snake or a Ball Python just to escape water changes? If you can't do it any more, don't kid yourself, just take a break. The fire to keep fish will return.

IMO, if you get away with only losing $35, you're doing good so far.

im 15, and unfortunately jobless. $35 isn't a small amount of cash for me.

right now the hobby isnt really a chore, but i guess i was just overwhelmed last night, my dresser looks almost normal today, since it dried out, and i guess the hermits will clean my SW tank because they stripped the LR i out in their tank.
fish only interfered with my social life because i spent all my cash on fish, and without a job, i really shouldnt have.
thank you all, i feel much better and ill keep my fw setup... after all, i do have a future monster in there that im very proud of and im sure some of you would be happy to take from me.... :D

Good luck with that:ROFL:

I'm going through something similar. Having so many tanks becomes more of a burden then experiencing the thrill of the hobby. I cut back sold most of my tanks, but one with my favorite fish. I've also began converting to reptiles, its a similar hobby. But, much less maintenance.
