What happened ? What was operated on.

I had two shoulder surgeries and man i would take that anyday over spine related stuff. Im more than likely going to go back under the knife because of my neck. I neglected the herniated discs for so long that one of the vertebrae slopped down almost at a 45° angle
Wouch. I had my left achilles tendon extended and the bone structure in my foot modified due to it being in a way that caused me pain when walking. the broke and restructured the arch of my left foot.

Also one of my leopard danios died just now, think it is safe to feed to my butterfly fish? he has eaten 2 before while it was in QT

Geez
I was out almost 5 months man but different type of work
..dr's wanted me to retire from my job, i had to beg them to let me go back full duty....even beaught my kids to one of the visits.... play on their heart strings.
Thankfully, in IT when your brain still functions you're basically 100% capable of working. I had to really work my doctor for lifting capacity though, I mean, 28lbs 2 year old begging for me to pick her up constantly and giving me the puppy dog eyes, how do you say no?!

I had my last appointment with the neurosurgeon though, he told me that I'm back to normal physical activity but that I should "stay away from lifting heavy things for a long time... or forever". Guess I need to start rigging up pulleys and carts all over the place ;)

Egads man! In my case I really didn't have much in the way of an early warning. My doctors didn't take the pain seriously for literally years. They kept assuming it was a sacrum issue and prescribing me low level muscle relaxers which I stopped taking because they did nothing. It wasn't until over 2 years into the pain that someone had the sense to give me a freaking MRI, and when a doctor finally looked at it they wanted me in the hospital immediately :P

Ouch, sorry you had to deal with that D: I assume everything is pretty normal now though?

As far as random fish deaths... I'm leery there, I wouldn't take the chance that it only died from natural causes

I'm playing sport comfortably for the first time in my life which is great :)

I ended up chucking the danio, don't wanna risk it. I'll give the butterfly some extra pellets tonight

Awesome! Glad to hear it!

Also I think you made the right choice... not worth risking passing on pathogens from one fish to another. Usually there's a reason something died :)

Thanks, I have climbed a mountain and played rugby with not too much pain and it's only getting better.

This danio was the last one that got badly mauled by my salvini, and the whole bunch I suspect had bad genetics. They have hardly grown and couldn't really spawn. They are tiny and died fairly often. I'm probably giving them as well as 2 small platies to my old bio teacher

Oh okay, well getting torn up by another fish is a verifiable cause of death haha so lower risk there.

I've got a 55 gallon tank, we call it the "Hills have eyes" tank, because it's full of platy fish and some danios. Basically this was the first tank we set up, I planted it and had fun with it, but the platy fish do what platyfish do, and now theres about 15 generations of horribly inbred fish. We even have a platy with a sword tail... it's getting pretty bad! Bioload is insane too because regardless of the amount of water changes I do the quantity of fish just keeps increasing. They'll probably keep breeding until they displace all the water and the tank is just a cube of fins and slimecoat. I've started transplanting the males into the tank with my turtles, but they suck at hunting fish, so now I just have a tank with turtles and platys >:(

yikes, the platies aren't even an inch and between me and my brother have had them for 6 months. Bad genetics I think.

They are the only fish the salvini left alone so they are fine and dandy in my 5 gal now. the 15 is home to other fish.

What sort of turtle do you have if I missed it
