I'm Done With This Hobby

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Don't quit just 'cause you lost a few fish, if everyone quit the hobby just because they lost a few fish, there would be no one in the hobby.

Have a rest and think about it, don't go selling all your stuff off on impulse.

The hobby is too expensive and too time consuming.
hehehe you dont have a salt or even a heavily planted tank, when you get one of those then you can say that ;)

sorry for your loss, if you are a true fish keeper you will be back in the game sooner or later. also i would use this as a chance to try different fish.

Sorry for your loss:( It's always a hard hit to lose fish like that. It makes you rethink what you're doing, but don't give up.

its not about losing some fish, its more about the effort and time spent on raising the fish, which hurts.

Man thats rotten but why give it up? The way i see it we make mistake and we learn from them, im sure it wont happen again in a hurry. Keep your head up

I did a water change and forgot to plug back the canister filter. 7 hrs later I noticed the fish stressed and shedding slime coat so I dump Parasite and Fungus med to treat the 75g. By the next evenning, the tank water was murkier than the Amazon River. I openned the cabinet door and realized the canister was unplug for well over 24hrs and the only thing powering the tank the whole time was a powerjet. I did a water change hoping the bichir would recover but they checked out tonight.

As of right now, I'm thinking of getting out. The hobby is too expensive and too time consuming.

Don't quit! You just need some Ginko biloba, or a sticky note on your tank that says, "Plug filters and heaters back after doing water change!" ;)
