very sorry to hear about your loss buddy. i am glad you created this thread because in reading it I discovered that I have been improperly adding salt to my fw tank. i haven't been disolving it.

also, i always add salt to new water going into my tank. the sea salt container says to do so. is this correct? i want to have a perfectly balanced system.
