I will be working at my LPS tonight and there is a ton of literature. Maybe I can find something there.

Good Deal. Please let us know if you find anything else out.

That is definitely a unique JD! I love it, im surprised nobody mentioned the yellow :S!

Do you guys know if this variant of JD has a different temperament?

Beautiful, beautiful fish! I would have had a hard time resisting that if I saw it in a store as well. I'm really curious to hear any more info on this variation :D

Not an insult, simply the truth. Look around at photos of jacks. Most adults show signs of spinal deformities and quite a few have jaw deformities from being inbred for so many generations. I'd love to get my hands on some wild or F1 octos.

Go tell your jack I'm sorry I lowered its self-esteem. I'm sure he'll suck it up and get on with life.

I agree with you totally, I am a big fan of the Rocios, and I do in fact have some F1 Rocio Octofasciata from Cenote Escondido, they are some much nicer IMO:

They are offspring from Rusty Wessel wild caught fish, which are also stunning.

I have found these F1s, much faster growers than TB Octofasciata, nicer colour and darker.

BTW very nice Jack Dempsey mate:)
