id say its a hybrid but either way by far the best looking jd ive seen. thats not really a impulse buy that a must have fish. congrats:thumbsup:

looks lıke ıt has to be some kınd of hybrıd! ıts so amazıng lookıng! ı have never really lıked JD's so much but ıf ı saw a red one ı would snap ıt straıght up! great buy =)

idk if it is a hybrid though because it still has a very jd body shape. could it be dyed?

thats true ıt couldve been as a juvıe and when ıt coloured up ıt overpowered the dye wıth brıght ırıdescent JD markıngs? more lıkely some form of hybrıd though never really heard of JD's beıng dyed before =S

Not a hybrid, not dyed. Certain populations of jacks in the wild have intense red like this. It's just that most jacks in the hobby are inbred crap.

Very nice.

I almost want to say it was x with firemouth and then that JD with other JDs to make it look more like a JD but kept the color of the firemouths gene. I have no idea that was the first thing that popped into my head.. It looks full JD though, either way.. VERY nice pick up.

Everyone who has the inbred crap JD's want to thank you for putting down their fish.. not everybody can get things like this, but that does not make it ok to start insulting thousands of people because in your opinion, your better.. Try thinking a little bit before you post your mindless insults.

thats sick, never seen a jd with those colors

Not an insult, simply the truth. Look around at photos of jacks. Most adults show signs of spinal deformities and quite a few have jaw deformities from being inbred for so many generations. I'd love to get my hands on some wild or F1 octos.

Go tell your jack I'm sorry I lowered its self-esteem. I'm sure he'll suck it up and get on with life.
