I'm just looking at see how far people are willing to go.
Say we had an event at a hotel in Schaumburg. Who would be willing to drive there if we could get a decent thing going?

GCCA's Annual Classic event is May 27-29 in the Chicago suburbs.

Much better to try to get folks to attend and existing event than to organize something from scratch.

I had a whole thread about the event that took place two weeks 1 person replied lol
I went to the gcca swap meet.
The Classic has speakers, swap, vendors, auctions, etc. - not just a swap.
It's ironic: fish clubs wonder why more folks from the online world don't come to the events they organize...and folks from the online world are trying to organize exactly the same thing that's being held already.
Piggyback on the GCCA Classic or ACA Annual Convention. Both are awesome events..in the mid-west...will welcome a bunch of young, new folks with open arms, already have the meeting space, hotel deal, vendors, auction, speakers, etc. Just show up and have a good time!

Oh okay been to both I thought you were just merely trying to get people to come to the swap events and not just the big event.
