I am trying to get central PA region.. hbg, mech, camp hill etc... Don't want to get too far out.

Never really looked into caiman, I just assumed you needed a permit. I don't think I would have a caiman in a store though.. unless I had a large enough place.

I found this awesome warehouse/show room in a town over, where I could have had sooo many display things, but the rent was wayyy too high for it's remote area.

I dont have one and im sub 45 min from u. A female cuviers would get 3 to 4 foot and be a phenominal display.

An iggy would imo be awesome as a pet too

There is someone with a free iguana on CL right now. I heard they get really mean once they mature and get larger.

A dear friend from here, who has a very friendly iggy named julieo, that I just finally met would prob disagree. That thing is awesome. But I am not.an expert on those things. My lizard of choise is crocs any day all day so thats what I know. Side note thinking about a second one. :D hehe

I'm going to be picking up a Sudan Plated Lizard Friday, so this is going to be my first lizard experience. :D

I have been looking like crazy for rental places, but nothing is the right size!!!

Beginner stuff and supplies for you to make cash. Like balls and corns at a price cheaper than petco. Also some more advanced herp stuff for people like me! Also make sure to have feeders. Keep the store clean and make sure to talk a lot.

Also if your new to reptiles get someone who is knowledgeable on them.... It might be hard cuz many people are filled with wrong info, but im sure some of us on here could help you choose :p

Go with something that's big, unusual, and/or rare for the store pet e.g. something that a zoo might have (or something that even zoo's don't have). I'm with Lep on the caiman idea; the smaller species don't need a ton of room, so you could probably pull that off.

As for a location, see about buying a place. The initial investment will be much more, but at least you'll avoid loosing a decent chunk of your profits to rent plus you'll be able to do whatever you want to the building (within building codes, of course).

Ugh......I really needed fruit flies today and neither Petco or Petsmart had them. If you do open up a herp/fish shop make sure to carry a variety of feeders!
