Innovative and efficient ways for large volume water change

WOW!!! Thanks for posting this in here! This definitely looks like something I want to try. My only problem is that here in Phoenix there's no basements.
I'd have to get really creative on draining.

All you have to do is use the float switch/submersible pump set up and have it pumped to a drain. Problem solved

I'm sorry I missed this before. Were you interested in my w/c method or my set up meaning tank and filtration?

For my setup, I use a 'T' fitting & a valve from my main return line and use Drips to remove the water from my setup into my Quarantine tank. I use 2 sets of drips, 1x 0.5 Gal / Hr & 1x 1 Gal / Hr, if my nitrates get over 50 ppm I use 1.5G/Hr, over 20ppm i use 1G/Hr, and the reste of the time I'm at 0.5 G/Hr. Been running like this for a while and no death since. For filling up, I just use a float valve and in-line carbon filter to remove chlorine.

Copy that. Drain location is yet another problem though. My house is ranch style so there's no second floor that I could hook into as far as plumbing drains.
I could maybe pump it into my attic and have it tie in to my A/C 1" pvc drain line.(my A/C is on the roof). What do you think of this or do you have any other suggestions?

EDIT: On second thought scratch the A/C drain line as it drains into my yard right next to the foundation. Probably not a good idea. OK so what are my options now?

You can have it pump to a "T" in a sink drain if you want to. I would install a check valve in it if it has to pump uphill to keep it from draining some of the water back.

ESOX: I'm in the planning stage to install a similar water changing setup for one of my local PetShop. His system as 2 sets of 12 - 90 Gals on separate filtration.

I use my Python and hook it up to the sink and suck and pump...

i empty out the water with a hose and put water back in with hose conected straight to a activated carbon filter which is used to remove 99.99% of chlorine and chloramine and other stuff
