The drag nets and bottom trawling give a chance for escape?

Ignorance IS bliss!!!!!!! Right?

Do you always catch your fish on the 1st or 2nd try in your aquarium? I am sure the answer to that is no. Unless you have slow fish:D All the more in a wide open ocean.

Only on Tuesdays:D

No, but probably because i dont use a boat dragging a massive net. :grinno:

Do some reasearch on controversial catch techniques, and "ocean fisheries depletion."

Do you think using cyanide to catch reef fish is ok too because the ocean is so big?

I speak in my defense fish for eating is somehting completely different. ok be nice to the fishies and eat vegetables for the rest of your life. when i grow up i will fund the BNTC foundation (be nice to chickens) but for now i have no control of that. if hundreds of people are starving in china etc... then why are we trying to ban half the food in the world. actually i will start eating dirt, wait no that robs food for the plants... hmmm i better just start eating nothing so the world wont die off.:screwy: about feeders etc... flakes, pellets and shrimp is still 90 percent animal matter so then we must not keep fish so that we cant see them eating our valuable resources!!! i know noone will like this post but it is just my opinion.

Hmm if they educate the salons on how to properly keep the fish and safely take care of them i think the problem would be smaller, the problem is that there are two types of people in the world people who care about themselves and people who care about others. Obviously the people who own these salons are people who care about themselves and the people who go to them are too. Thats why noone cares about the fish , they arent the right people./

I got lost when you said "....and shrimp is still 90 percent animal matter"

they are trying to say that even the processed fish food we feed to our "pet" fish is 90% animal matter, i think she should have thought a little harder and veered toward 100% if she was going to include freeze dried shrimp but whatever.... I think weve all gotten off track, this isnt a vegetarian versus meat eater thread , this is about people needlessly slaughtering fish for footcare, which i dont necessarilly agree with but could definately fight harder for the salons if they would cool down the water and treat the fish a little bit better.

Our hobby kills many more times that amount of fish. And for what? So we can have them in a glass box for our viewing pleasure? How is that so different?

maybe, but the hobby is designed with the user in mind to minimize this amount of lost fish.
