Saw this at lfs today being sold as "striped catfish". I argued in vain with shopkeeper that it was obviously a banded shark but she was adamant that it was some kind of whiskerless catfish. Cant win em all though. Wonder whos tank he'll be outgrowing...
Apparently these guys are awesome for koi ponds, big cold water fish. Some people can't be saved...
They are a cold water species and are related to koi if I am not mistaken.However I'm not sure how easy it would be to view them in a pond though.
