to quell any people thinking this is in possible its not but like i said thsi would be set up to further their existance in the wild not in your tank and if those programs work than we could begin stocking your tank so read before you talk negative i have read all the C.I.T.E.S. laws and there is fine print that you probally arent aware of

The problem is not CITES its the United States endangered species act that make importation and possesion illegal-Anne

it is possible i swear but i dont thnk anybody understands the whole scale of what would have to be done this would be a huge process and it would be legal because we would be doing R/D on raising wild population counts this would be like the zoos breeding programs but on a smaller privately funded scale and it would allbe regulated by the gov.

im sure the US govement would allow a breeding program to be set up if its sole purpose was to release a endangers speices back into the wild which then i due cause would increse the wild population bringing asian aros of the list then you will be able to import fish from the same farms that are doing nothing to help the wild population

the Shedd Aquarium can't get asains, how do we?

Ever thought of getting backed by a large institution like a university? Perhaps you could approach a university and see if they are interested, somehow connecting it to academic research, possibly even getting funded.

I bet the government would take it more seriously if some big educational institution was supporting it as well, as opposed to a bunch of private citizens.
