Get them legal in your country first that's a big step the next one should follow good luck!

Private aros aside, just to be able to have future generations able to see these beautiful fish in the wild would make this project worth it.

Good idea

good luck.. need pond, filter , heaters. fish. permits.... gunna cost u loot... GL tho

it is a good idea but have you looked into things like how long it would actually take to replenish these fish in the wild as i am guessing more than a lifetime.
also you would need to get fish from the wild to start this off which in itself is very hard to do legally.
its a shame that the US dont allow asian aros due to their endangered species act but it would take a lot ore than one breeding project with one pond to get the wild populations back to anywhere near what they need to be to get removed from cites.
i wish you well but this is going to take an awfull lot of money time and luck plus a lot of ponds.

any step in the right direction is better than no step

at least in some states in the US they have the right climate to give it a go which is more than we have hear in the UK

i also feel that the farms should be made to at least put 1-2% of their harvest back into the wild every few years if they want to continue trading in aros its not even like they would miss a few 1000 fish per year and they will still make very big profits

stop locals from poaching the wild fish...

doesnt matter how many u reintroduce if the locals just catch them and sell / eat them.

Plus your idea won't work i'm sorry as frankly ur govt wld just ask u one thing. Why are u breeding them here and THEN shipping them back to asia?

Can't u just set up one breeding project over there?

not being a wet blanket but thats the way it is.

I think it's a good idea, but it's definately going to be rough. You already have a lot of skeptics here. I would love to help you out, but my money situation is pretty tight right now.
