Crappie would be awesome once the pond is established. But your going to have to make sure they're eating as they can be a bit slow and shy. Can you post your list? Starting with fathead minnows would be good, it would help cycle your pond, as well as feed the sunnies and catfish. Not to mention keep down the mosquito population. I noticed once my bluegills hit 8 inches, they tend to ignore small foods. Like mosquito larvae, unless they're really hungry. What are you looking for in a fish?
So far I have: a bunch of fathead minnows, a few livebearing fish in the bog, a school of longear sunfish, a small school of yellow perch, some koi and 2 or 3 channel cats. Not very exciting, but at least I dont have to go far to go fishing. I was kind of looking for something rare or unusual, but a school of colorful sunfish that eat out of your hand is kind of cool to.
I was just going to put a bunch of mixed livebearers in there. My lfs gets about 20 with every shipment of ghost shrimp. They get mollies, platies, guppies, and some small natives like bluefin kilis and some juvie tilapia. I get them all for free.
High fin banded shark = high fin loach = Myxocyprinus asiaticus. They're actually a sucker, not a loach. Young are spectacular looking with very tall dorsal fin and bold white and black banded pattern. As they get older they develop a more elongate shape and become less colorful. They get very big- at least as large as common carp, perhaps larger.
They had a 6 incher at my lfs last week for 15$. They are supposivly VERY slow growers. They aren't too rare. If you find a small, and reliable fish store I'm sure they can order one for you.
