:irked:I went outside monday night to take out my garbage and there were 2 cat carriers (with cats in them)
Covered with a blanket. Oh and a big long letter from a kid
This was at 4 am so I have no clue how long they were in there
I was like Ok downstairs bathroom food water and litter box
One is now in my ceiling and the other has bitten/attacked me twice
I carry a plunger with me when i go in to feed and change their litter box
The really annoying thing is is that the parents dropped the cats off,(said so in the letter)
I can't keep them, I have enough pets, and they sometimes don't get along
One has to take prozac so he doesn't pee on my wall:screwy:
I've decided to put him to sleep several times and just can't do it (I've told him he's lucky he has a meow that sounds like a kitten meow, plus he always wants to cuddle. Franklin just has issues, but I brought him home so I'll deal with it)
It's really rotten of these people because I love cats, so now they put it on me to take them to a shelter, rather than do it themselves,
And while I have no clue who they are they knew who I was
Also how sneaky is that?obviously they didn't have the decency/courtesy to talk to me about it
besides the fact one bite was to my hand which could have put me out of work for a couple weeks:nilly:
I've had the rabies pre and post exposure shots so even though the rules here are strict I've got them in for 2 weeks at leat until a spot opens up in the shelter so at least they don't have to be rabies tested
Ok done venting the deed is done and i've got the resources to take care of the problem
If I knew who it was I would reprt them for animal abandonment though just to discourage future episodes

Yeah about the only thing you could do with the cats other than rabies testing them is to have them held. I'm a cat person too, so thank you for taking them in. I wouldn't worry about being sneaky - dosen't really sound like these kind of people operate under the assumptions that you do. Any pictures of the cats?

They are still freaked out, plus they smell all of my cats
Oh and the one in my ceiling is an un-neutered male guess how i can tell :(
it's actually funny I called my mom and told her it better not have ben my sister she was laughing and said she's not that smart.
I feel bad for the cats. but basically mine are my kids- I was worried when i brought home the kitten we recussitated (who apparently was still carrying ringworm oh joy) In that case the female thinks he's hers and the others think I had it (a little anthropomorphizing but more and more I realize how much more aware pets are than they get credit for)
this is a true story which is freaky
One lady had to go to a nursing home so her ancient dog was boarded at the facility i was working at until someone could figure out what to do with it
A technician decide to be nice and give the dog a bath.
The dog died during the bath Just heart attack I know this lady and she is not rough cruel, or irresponsible
The boss had to call the nursing home to inform the owner
He was on the phone and we heard
"HI this is Dr. X from XYZ animal hosp i need to talk to Mrs W
Oh... she did? what time? Oh .. really... never mind then thank you"
Turns out the dog died at the exact same time as the owner
It's like she said Ok c'mon time to go
And it's time for me to go to work
LOL incidents like that help me keep stuff in perspective
sometimes i think i need to become a vegetarian but I love cheesburgers

ah well

Luckily if I can get the two abandoned kitties somewhat socialized I
can get them into a no-kill shelter with a pretty nice habitat and then owe them a few spays or something
oh charming herbie just puked on my bed and the piles of bills I see

Last time I checked, rabies is tested by adding a detectant wich clots in rabies infected centers in the brain. The way to check the brain is to remove it and look at it under a special light :(

That sucks i hope those people are found, how could anyone just dump them onto another person. People need to have more responsibility with their pets, most of the time they send them to their deaths just because they chew on furniture or are too hyperactive.Wish you luck with finding them a new home.

WOW i'm glad i'm not the only one this happens too! three weeks ago someone dumped a momma dog and a puppy in the driveway next to my house which is a vacant lot! somehow they wound up at the house:screwy: and then the gf gave them names:irked: so i was stuck with them i really don't mind we have three dogs and 4 acres of land. but sadly the puppy was killed yesterday:cry: rip runt.

and this morningi saw five more dogs in the same driveway.
:swear::swear::swear::swear::swear::swear::swear::swear:
and one of them have a chain around his neck that's dragging.
those people should be shon in the face! j/k maybe punched really hard in the face

People are cruel.
There was kitten this lady got for her kids(with a puppy) for Xmas, the puppy was on a 2' leash tied to their back door for about 3 weeks, before she dumped it, we found the baby a home.
The lady called us to her house a few times to cut the kitten's nails, the kitten got pregnant at 5 months old and lived through it, but the lady handed the 4 week old kittens off to any kids who came by her house(one was about 6).
A month later there was a taped up shoe-box sized box on the curb(the morning after they moved) with the cat in it :irked:

People make me nuts.

Good job taking them in :)

Nice to see you helping them out, if my wife had found them, our nine would have grown into more, thankfully rabies is not a problem on this side of the pond
