in asia they keep them in overcrowded tanks oh da tyme :D i have a 6ft 100g with 5 blacks (14-18") and 1 silver(20'') along with a 10'' pleco and 4- 8'' catfish. never really had a problem with aggression. i just keep them well fed and keep up with the h2o maintenance . here's a couple of pics. "FLAME ON" BUWAHAHAHAHA ....i don't advise it, but oh well:clap

This might be worth posting if your arowana were of adult size. Post pics again in a year and see if all is still well. Only words of wisdom are highlited in red.

Yea and those people have cash stuck up their asses, the majority of us don't sadly. If i had the money for a 300g and the money to maintain it, i wouldn't just buy a silver, i'd buy em all including asians.

As far as the money stuck up the ass comment, well that's better then you with your head;) If ya can't afford to keep an aro then find another fish to keep. Simple common sense:duh: Why would someone break the law just because they can afford a large tank:screwy:

You obviously havent met much people from asia as most of them have tanks a couple times the size of yours lol...

min for a aro is 750liters about 200g. you shoild be fine. just remember length and width is more important than height.
Volume is worth nothing without a footprint...

if you dont have the money for a 300 dont get a silver, jardinis are smaller and a bit slower growing and could live in the 215 for a long time if not life.

We may have some money stuck up our ass, but you definitely have some crazy shizz stuck up there to be so uptight.

i may not be an expert on aro's but i have read a little on them and to me it's common sense a 2 foot + fish won't fit in a tank thats only 2 feet wide (after you factor in glass thickness it's a bit less than 2 feet) imo 30" width and 6 foot length would be the absolute minimum

and honestly i don't care what people in asia do, people are raping each other in some third world country dosen't make it okay

You really just made that comparison? I might agree with the 30" wide footprint but c'mon don't compare fishkeeping to anything that horrible.

I kept a 28" silver in a 8x2 it was happy for a few years it was only him and a couple smaller fish Half the people on this site keep them in half the size you are looking at. I say go for it but don't put too much other fish in there
