No, you are basing your opinion on what you think you know. I am basing my opinion on what I have experienced. I seen the change in behavior of my fish, when moved from a 180g into the tank that is over twice the size. They are very calm, very seldom do they ever spazz out, they occasionally chase one another at rather high speeds, yet have room to move freely. They don't swim at a lethargic rate across the tank with no purpose. Most of all, they don't hit the sides nor the top when spooked.

Now you want to come up with this moronic argument "that no tank is big enough for a silver":duh: and this may be true. I don't believe this neither do you, what we have is a difference of opinion on minimum tank size. So until you have experience in the matter, stop spewing the BS that a silver aro will be fine in a 6x2' tank for life. Yours may be deemed that fate, but there is no reason for other silvers to suffer the same.
My silver hasn't "spazzed out" since it was probably around 8", just because you have this "experience" doesn't mean that it can be applied to any situation with any silver arowana. If every arowana that was kept in a 6x2 or less tank jumped out of the tank, you wouldn't see nearly as many 10+ year old aros kept in 180 gallon tanks on youtube. Hell, even the one you posted a while back that was severely stunted in the 55 gallon had lived for many years in that tank without jumping out and dying, so where are you getting all this BS about every aro jumping if it's kept in a 6x2 or less? You seem to think that you know everything about every silver aro just because you have owned them, but the fact is you don't. Congratulations on being able to fix the problem you had with your silvers, but just because it happened with yours doesn't mean that it will happen to everyone else.

Hmm... it's funny how you cut off part of that arguement to make it look like I am saying something other than what I actually said, then call it moronic... So since you invented your own personal interperetation of that statement, doesn't that essentially make it a new arguement altogether, in which case you are admitting that your own arguement is "moronic?"

It's also funny how you end every post in a sentence that begins to sound like it is approaching nuetrality, then you proceed to flame my opinions and throw out a series of personal insults in a somewhat passive-aggressive manner...

Kinda like your use of "any","every" and "everyone". What ever you need to feel justified as to what you will be doing to your arowana:(

Fact remains is you telling people that silver aros are perfectly fine living out there entire lives in a 180g tank is flat out bad advice. What other life lessons do you base on what you've seen on You-tube? :duh:

No, not really. My repetitive use of certain words is due to the fact that you repeatedly make me have to explain my opinion (which remains the same), because your way of "proving" me wrong is by twisting my words in an attempt to make me look ignorant. Your reason for repeating yourself is because of a lack of creativity in your insults/arguements (my reason for saying "insults/arguements" is because I am starting to have trouble even telling which is which).

And don't even try to deny twisting my words, because there is obvious evidence of it in your last post (the second paragraph). And I also noticed that you used basically the same insult that you have already said multiple times in this thread ("What ever you need to feel justified as to what you will be doing to your arowana").

It is, what it is.

Yep, annoying repetitive BS, that's exactly what it is.

So finally you agree and you'll stop your suggesting of a silver aro in a 180g for life.

Chill out guys, the only way to solve this is to pit your best silvers together and... FIGHT TO THE DEATH. Owner of the surviving silver wins, all arguments become invalid.

Look at it this way the fish was breed at some farm to become a pet for someone if it was caught in the wild it would be made food so i dont see the point of having such a big tank unless you can afford it sure i would love a 400 gallon tank but my budget doesn't allow for it so maybe i shouldn't be keeping aros in the first place but they seem healthy to me and i enjoy them so i will continue to keep them o ya bash me for my punctuation spelling and all around grammar
