The thickness should be fine. Thickness should depend on height, not so much as length or width.

Thats good to hear. I would probably just add front to back braces every 2-3 ft. Is anyone sure about black acrylic bonding with clear? Or is that a dumb question? This thing is useless to me unless i can cut a veiwing window out

I would look into their girth once they start reaching 24+" in size cause I've seen some pretty huge bass and I agree it might be very shallow for one. I know it depends on the species but it's still something to think about. With a tank/pond that size there are a lot better options that would be cool. Look at this beast for reference

My main interest is cichla. I wouldnt need a big tank if not for cichla and my RTC.

Well then it won't be worth buying to you. Both would need at least a 24" height or better. You could do lot more with that tank then you think .

Like turn it into a giant sump for all my big tanks and put it in my laundry room.. Thats a great idea lol.

Or turn the big tanks into a sump for that lol. I got a ton of ideas and things that can be put in that tank but like you said your main interest is p bass.
