I believe you can tell the difference with the shape of the mouth because male's hold the eggs:https://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/threads/sexing-the-silver-arowana.108338/
However, this is for Silver Arowanas, so I’m not sure if it applies to your species.

Even through the shape of the jaw where males apparently have a larger, protruding jaw, it’s still not a foolproof way of distinguishing gender. Could just be the genetics where the arowana has PLJ (protruding lower jaw).
That’s why arowanas are bred in a large pond stocked with many arowanas to increase the chances of breeding, although there’s little way to distinguish the gender. Apparently Qian Hu arowana breeding has figured out a way to distinguish Asian arowana gender 75% of the time, although not proven.

IDK about the Asians. The silvers I have a home grown method for based on my observation of their spawning: the adult females have their pelvic fin extensions well past their anus, while the males' extensions do not reach or barely reach the anus. That's the way it was with all our proven males and females, about a dozen of them. The jaw is not a reliable trait in our experience.
