is my bass sick ?

Yes you are correct, that is my opinion on feeders. If you are going to force feed it, feed it a pellet. A store bought feeder is inviting more trouble, I wouldn't do it.

That is what the prazi- pro is for. Feeders can be anything from mollies to ghost shrimp. Given that the op's bass is still small, I would go with rosy reds and ghost shrimp.

I have never lost a fish to internal parasites and I feed my bass feeders all the time. Boss

As for force feeding, OP, you can take a look at my old thread on how and what I force fed them.

well i went to the store and grabbed some small guppie feeders and some med for him, and got him to him dead :( he couldnt wait or hold out for me to get home......i even brought home some "friends" for him... (6" bass, 5" arowana) that effin blows so dissapointed with myself and him ugh !!..... darn medication was like 20$ which i aint going to really need anymore dunno if i should return it of keep it for future use if ever needed ....

That's a rough one sorry. Now that you have new fish take the antibiotic back and get some Prazi or Metro and treat for IPs hopfully you will prevent any future issues. Remember to keep the water clean with frequent water changes and dose with Prime. I still think you should pellet train them onto a high quality pellet like NLS Thera +A and avoid feeders unless you breed/raise them yourself. Good luck with the new guys.

And I'm actually trying to breed convicts and JD's for live food treats... I do weekly water changes of 80% and dose with seachem safe
