Is my dovii male or female

I've had this dovii for a few months I'm hopingbto add a partner for it but I'm not sure if it is male or female I've been told at the pet store that it's 100% male but I want to be sure b4 i buy another one. It's around 5-6inches and has been super shy but I was told that will change around 8-10 inches. male is my shout. the tank will settle down but its normally caused by food and sunlight. normally up water changes and cutting foods down to stop as much waste food will help.
 
Ok how often should I be water changing and I haven't been able to get a good picture he been hiding alot in his pvc cave lol20160905_194743.jpg 20160905_194840.jpg
 
At 2" it would be tough to sex. I change water daily if i can, but most of the time i do between 60 and 75% wc every other day. What size tank do you have him in? The bigger the tNk the more likely he will be to tolerate a female. Ive have had a lot of bad luck with dovii males killing females.

he is in an 80 gallon right now. I put her in with him he checked her out for a second then start chasing
Her around the tank so I took her out. And I know 80gallon is to small I'm working on an 200+ for next month
