Gender equality and religious equality is the same thing, there both a personal choice and you can change what you are later on in life if you feel its not whats right for you.
They only people who deserve to be treated like unequal members of society are those who have abused the right to be a decent person, ie rapists, murderers, paedophiles, bigots and violent members of society. Your skin colour, religion, gender or sexual preferences don't dictate if your a good or bad person.

I will correct myself, being born a male but feeling that your are a female isn't a choice, its hardwired into you, you can't change it or turn it off. However it deserves the same equality as religion.

again, your sexuality or religion is not in question when it comes to state/ guv, in fact quite the opposite. when is the last time a person switched from Catholicism to christian required being able to get naked in the girls shower if you are male?

Never heard of any of this stuff when I was a kid. Back then this would have been taken care of quietly but decisively with no one being fired. However I doubt the situation would have ever come up.

Hello; I recall such. I forget the university. A population of rats were sealed in a decent sized room. An amount of food more than needed was introduced daily. The food amount was kept constant over time. The rat population increased exponentially (something like the human population is doing) until the food supply was a critical resource. At the same time the living conditions became more and more foul. Eventually there was not enough food to adequately feed the increased rat population. As I recall, among the things noted was an increase in homosexual behavior among the rats. Speculation- Could this be a response to population and environmental pressures? A type of "normal" under duress?

Yes to this. I get the no harm argument, but physical harm is not the only measure of such. A not so apt example might be a neighbor playing loud boom-boom music late at night. I likely can come up with others if needed.

Hello; I have shared a restroom with such males. All was fine because they kept to themselves, as I did, and made no overt acts.

I agree with pops on this one. You are trying to equate religious freedoms with non-natural gender identification. The two issues are not on the same level. This may be one of the tactics for those wishing to push their notions of gender identity. I do not accept such as a right or a freedom in the same way as freedoms enumerated in the USA's constitution.

Hello; I already made a statement about this above. I can go along with an adult having sex change alterations if they want and can afford the cost.

Hello; Bill Nye once said something like this. "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof." At this point I do not accept your statement as fact. Neither your feelings of approval nor my feelings against the idea are "proof". An example of such proof might be an identifiable gene sequence for a male feeling like a female. Got any proof?

However it deserves the same equality as religion.

The proof that being transgender is not a choice but something you are born with is the fact that people don't choose to be homosexual, they are born with that disire, so why should they be punished or judged?
And on the whole gender equality isn't as equal as religious equality, I can't comprehend this, one is a choice, albeit not always one you made for yourself (parents forcing you into a religion or being born into a religious family) one is a way you were born, you had no choice or say in it.
A final point. How many wars have been waged because of transgender equality? These days religion is an excuse for fanatical behaviour, whether it be terrorism or treating someone differently because they don't fit in to your religious views. In my opinion one does far more harm than good and is a real scourge on humanity.

everyone has complicated life to much, just live, why's it matter what someone wants to do with their body, it's their body not yours. why's it matter what someone believes in, it's their life let them believe what they want. People seem to have forgotten that we're all here to experience and live that's it, we're not here to kill each other, we're not here to collect all the "possessions" we think we "need". We are simply here to find ourselves and enjoy the ride. Unfortunately, this world is to far gone to recover in a positive way, there will be destruction that eventually leads to some type of false unity and then the cycle will repeat. Until we as humans, realize race/color/religion/gender are all labels that were invented to separate us, nothing will change. We as humanity need to unite as one "race".

but to answer your question, is our society falling apart? I believe our society has been falling apart long before I was brought into this world.
