Is there a method to keep water cold?

Plus it is illegal to take gamefish in CA, and illegal to use the net too. So you broke 2 laws. And if you have no fishing license that would be 3 laws broken.

Look up trout tank bass tank blue gill tank and basically any other gamefish and you will see that someone has them. Do you agree with the snakehead law?

I have all the means to take care of it and im sure that taking two little fish isnt going to destroy the circle of life in the lake.

No you don't, otherwise there would be no asking of how to cool the water :duh: Seriously keeping them in the refrigerator :screwy:

I have heard of people making homemade chillers using mini fridges and copper piping.

However, since you have to ask about this, I think it is safe to assume you are in over your head and do not know how to properly care for these fish.

Now we just wait for the update that they died, or he let them go. *sigh*

Heat is a major issue for me also. I keep a Goonch and it likes cold, fast moving water. I removed the lid of the tank and keep as much water flow at the surface as possible. Just point the return lines to the surface to make surface agitation. I also use a fan to push air across the surface of the aquarium. My house temp is at 80 and I'm able to keep the Goonch tank at 74. I never turn the light on, it's not even on the tank anymore because I removed the lid. Good luck!

They lived fine but i had better ideas for the pond i was going to put them in so i just put them back. Im pretty sure they were just carp or something anyway so dont piss your pants over it.
