is this a flowerhorn?

As they get older, they pretty much mild; just like some of mine. But when they young, they mean as hell. BTW that is a Golden monkey flowerhorn!! He might be 80-90 all red later as he get older. i had one just like that
 
One of the sites article I've just read in other sites states that the best flowerhorn for judging a champion Fh is the one with its Flower/black spots, best is with the double flower (upper and mid), electric blue glittering scales, proportionate hmps and fins... hmmm. Your FH looks good though not so good for competiotion... its great for a pet.
 
My FH doesn't eat pellets. what should i do?

definitely a flowerhorn. its a free-marking, and its kinda rare so you must be proud of it.
 
It looks like a golden monkey did you get this guy in NY i think i sold one like that in the past he looks a little skinny and hump wont grow much but a nice fish indeed
