Definitely a carpintis possibly a hybrid. The irregular color spangles are a dead giveaway that its not a jack. You could easily tell the difference with the two fish side by side. Gonna be way easier to see what it is in a couple weeks. Post an update when it gets a little bigger.

I have many of of that so called red texas fish it is texas x fh.here what they turn out like
