Adding a bunch of substrate to the previously bare-bottomed tank and some stuff to the sump seems to have started a mini-cycle in the tank, so I've hooked up another filter to it and I'm waiting another week to pick it up so the conditions are safe. Much thanks to the guys at the store for letting me do so.

At store now. Its fins are significantly darker in person and there's some gray coloration visible on its top and back. Like, you can make out the shape of its scales on the back half of the body. Could be stress coloration or could be the platinumness fading. Should I still take it? Is this normal?

Best pics I could get on phone. Also it seems a little uneven shaped, with a wider left side. Would love opinions as it is do or die time.

He is def shiny, so much so that the reflection makes photography difficult.

still hard to tell is there any other type of color besides black? yellow? red?

Anybody? Can't tell if the difference is just what I imagined in my head versus reality or if this is a lower quality fish.
