These fish come from an area with virtually no change in temperature year round.
Even 2 degrees will stress the fish possibly leading to death.

Now onto the 'circle if life' as you like to call it.

Adding a fish to a pond/tank when you know full well there is stock it will eat, is irresponsible, and just a typical gun-ho attitude to things.

WE choose to keep these creatures, they don't ASK to be put in OUR tanks/ponds.
It is OUR JOB to look after them accordingly.

Adding fish to a stock it may eat, I can agree with that to a certain point.

But you have got to be kidding about the 2 degree temperature fluctuation. What if your heater broke down? All the fish instantly dead right?

Really two degrees? I'm not even going to waste the time to try to educate you because you obviously don't listen.

I spent some time cleanning up this thread. I going to open it up again. If I come back and find any personal insults they will be delt with accordingly. Consider this fair warning. Continue

i have a 4,250g pond (temp ranges from low 70s to high 80s depending on time of year) that 26x11x2.5 any way right now i have 1 jack dempsey 3tigeroscars and like 30 convicts, my plan was to get a jaguar clichlid and a green terror, I know they will eat the convicts but idc. just wondering if that will work out well, or will the jag eat the green terror/jd. and dont blow me up about them not surviving the winters because i can catch half these fish in the river next to my house (i live in south FL), and i have a light heater for winters.

Sorry. Blowing up your thread and not even commenting on the original post. Very rude of me. Sorry. LOL

Your idea sounds solid. The jag might take an interest in the GT or JD, but only from a territorial standpoint I should think. But with 4250 gallons, I doubt that would be an issue.
