Is this pop eye?

Rope fish was acting lethargic yesterday. Usually swims a lot in the current and hangs out all over the tank. Found him looking like this today. Setting up a quarantine tank with one of the sponge filters from this tank but honestly not sure what to treat him with. Any help is greatly appreciated. And if this isn’t pop eye please let me know what it is and how to treat it.

Post ur water parameters ASAP. Move to a qt tank. Add some salt 1 tsp per gallon. Get some Maracyn 2.

Looks Popeye and due to poor water quality.

It’s only on one side so I didn’t think water was an issue. He’s been in this tank 4 months. It’s fully established. Only recent change was new driftwood added about a week ago.
 
Maybe the driftwood then. Keep the water pristine and cross ur fingers.
 
It’s a dark wood I haven’t used before from a new lfs. Boiled it for 4 hours prior. I’m not familiar with maracyn. Anything I should know about it prior to use? Going to pick some up now. Thanks for the quick responses btw. Greatly appreciated
 
Maybe its injured eye, had the samething happened to my lap due to another poly bite its eyes during feeding time, what are the tank mates? And sharp decor in the tank?

Tank mates are SA cichlids but they grew up together and have never looked at each other hardly. The new wood could have an edge I missed I guess. I did rearrange with the new wood and he’s super clumsy so he could have hit something. Mates are a male GT and a make Rotkiel. Rotkiel will be moving soon. Other than that just dither fish. GT is a food hog but surprisingly mellow truthfully so I don’t think it was from tank mate aggression. The GT would have killed him if it was.

Just use it in a quarantine tank as it can destroy ur BB.

No maracyn in any stores near me. Any substitutes that will work or should I have some overnighted and wait until tomorrow?
 
Can try some kanamycin, triplesulfa, furan2, Minocycline, erythromycin, or ampicillin. Looking for something a little broad spectrum. In that order.
