Is this pop eye?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Currently doing a water change. I think the triple sulfa caused the drift wood to release a bunch of tannins at once. The water was not stained prior to treatment and went dark after the first round and even darker after the second. Could be wrong but that’s my guess.
Well if it’s true tannins then it won’t hurt but actually help the tank. But the water changes will take it out so oh well.

Also white cottony stuff is no longer visible on rope. He’s being very skittish so I could not get an update pic but he looks good and is not acting distressed. Not quite out of the woods but seeing some light coming through. Thanks again for all the help. You guys definitely saved my rope.

No prob. Your right now out of the woods yet. Make sure it eats and then it’ll grow a lot of the tissue back.

Yea he has a small indentation but it’s not nearly as bad as I expected. The one dither fish still has a white spot on its mouth. But hopefully that dose was enough to get that to come off also

Raising the temp at 85-86 degrees i heard it can help with fungus.
All infections temps should be normal 78-80f. Unless treating for ich then raising the temps will help.

I havent rwally tried it but ive read it somewhere when i had discus.
That’s a emperic form of treatment. They would bump temps to really high for days and hope it kills bacteria, viruses and parasites. It does work but can cause heat tolerate pathogens. Lot of good and bad with it in regards to results.
