Is this tank Worth $500??????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have a 25 that's over 13 yo and JUST sprung a leak a few weeks ago. all it was was a little silicone leak and i replaced it and it's going strong. silicone was like $10 new tank was like $50

Answer to question yes. Low-ballers suck. That set-up is worth that price without the fish. Eight years is not old for a glass tank, especially if it has had water in it the entire time. Hopefully she finds someone to give her a fair price.

You're saying I suck and you don't even know me!!! lol

Keep in mind that something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay. I picked up a 300 for less that what that person is asking without any "haggling"

Id go for it, Hell I cant even say how much those Fronts would be worth on there own.

To people who already keep fronts they're not worth much at all. Females are worth a LOT more.

I was at an auction today (chances are CK was too) and a 6" male burundi went for $20, which was a little too much for around here lol.

Was refering to "Low-ballers". Not sure how you took this personally. Gave opinion on set-ups value and opinion about not giving someone a fair price. Very true that something is only worth what someone will pay. Also very true, you get what you pay for. You where never a consideration in my post.

Really damn, they go for like 35-40 when there 1-1.5 at stores up here.

buy the way you askd what seams are. they are the silicone in between then glasss.another thing you could do is buy it go to a custom glass aquarium manufacture and ask him to re seal it

There is no 12" Frontosa for sale anywhere I've been.. I have seen some 8" and they were asking $150 each. If she isn't offended that you didn't even offer half of what she was asking, and even comes down 25 bucks, buy it. I'm guessing she will find another buyer who doesn't offer so little when $500 was already a good deal.
stndfsh

Buy it.
My lfs had a 220 just like mine for 14yrs before anything went wrong with it. The silicon on the middle brace let go so they jimmied up a wooden brace, they then decieded to buy a whole new tank as the old one was very scratched. A mate picked up the old one for $20 petrol money for delievery and he had a BBQ to thank them and bought them a bottle of wine and some chocolates:headbang2 .
