Was refering to "Low-ballers". Not sure how you took this personally. Gave opinion on set-ups value and opinion about not giving someone a fair price. Very true that something is only worth what someone will pay. Also very true, you get what you pay for. You where never a consideration in my post.

I'm always trying to get stuff cheap. I know you weren't saying anything about me specifically. :D I was just rattling your chains

ok well the tank has been in her possesion for atleast 8 years!!!! she said she had bought it from someone else 8 years ago and it was used...so the tank can be anywhere from 9 to 15 years old. as for the price: im waiting for the e-mail, but if she does not like my offer then i guess the price will go up a bit. I will not pay more than $300, because the stand and the tank was not in good condition. also the frontosas were beaten up by the dominant male. but i do need a big tank for my fish to move in from their overstocked tank, so i will have to buy a 150-soon. if ii do not buy the tank than i will atleast have the frontosas since she was just going to give them to the LFS for free. she knows that i can take better care of them. but i think she will sell me the tank that cheap because there is no other offer out there for that tank and she wants to get rid of it, Because she will NEVER use it again.....so some cash is better then No cash. just my opinion.....

we just paid $400 for a complete 125g set up that was over 10 years old, and we're very satisfied. i think that the $500 your seller was asking is completely fair, especially with the fish. however, some considerations are the type of filtration and lighting that come with the tank. we got an excellent filter (ocean clear filter plus pump) and a nice stand, but crappy lighting and broken hoods.

i think that even with a run down stand, 400 would be a more than fair price for the tank you're looking at. just my 2 centavos.

i bought my second220 for 275 and it was fairly old , i dont know exactly how old ...but if it holds now and ur carefull when moving it i dont see there being a problem...u gonna keep the fronts? you could get some money back if you just turned and sold em

ok well me made an agreement and the new price is $400.....

the tank comes with....

150-Gallon Glass tank----Over 10 years old.
Stand w/ cabinets
Wet/Dry Flter/Sump i will also probably run my Xp3 in this tank.
4-Frontosas-12"---over 7 years old, also some yellow labs...4"
hood and lights.
heater
rocks
gravel...ect...

is it a good deal??? she will probably deliver it but should i worry about the tank leaking???

thank you.
