well i have always done atleast 50% weekly and i know that when i had oscars, jags, and pacus i would bump it up to practically whole 100% WC's a few times. but alot of people will tell me that it's bad and i just don't see it being anything but good for the fish.

As long as there is not a huge difference in the temp in your tank and the water going in there will not be a problem. It's just fresh water so as long as your water is clean and you don't tamper with the ph you are fine.

pH always is at 6.8 which is awesome... even out of the tap.....

That is great!!! You are lucky to have such a low ph naturally! Mine comes out at about 8 but all my fish are thriving. Just don't mess with the biologics and you will be just fine.
