it's just plastic!! (Need tips on cheap plastic snake tubs)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If your gonna use plastic tubs you should invest in a soldering iron.
10 bucks home depot etc drilling can crack the plastic and or make sharp edges and is simply a waste of time when a hot soldering iron goes through like butter.

give it a try :)

Sweet! Looks like I'm going to wally world. :D

How are you planning to heat yours?

It's so friggin hot in socal right now that I don't need any heating, but I may need it in the 'winter' time to keep temps from dipping too low at night.

my is just for transporting snakes. you could put a uth on the side of it though.

No worries about melting? I'll be using a lamp dimmer, but still... have you tested it?

i had a 5 watt on a tub, the dimensions were 4" by 5" and it was fine. as for the door use the soldering iron to put holes and put some kind of clips to secure it.

Go to animalplastics.com or boaphile.com to look at rack systems. IMO they are a cleaner system of keeping snakes. A little on the expensive side tho.:(

What do you mean by cleaner?

I only need 3 spaces, they don't usually make racks for so few drawers
