The pictures of the fish are already up...just wondering if anyone wanted to see anything else related to this project.

looks really good man. would love to try some and other exotic fish. do you guys raise any other fish besides pacu's?

i would be interested in pictures of your aquaculture setup. also would be interested in learning about the legal process you have been going through.

Not saying yet...we do have big plans for the future though, and I am running a university program here in WI to start to breed non-traditional aquaculture species for food consumption.

There are some monster plans though in our future if we go onto being a full-fledged farm. :D

This is a dirty mess.

As we did not actually have an aquaculture facility, and we did not sell or distribute the fish, we were technically hobbyists.

Becoming a fish farm is easy. Getting all the other related permits, and protein farming/processing ones is not.

If we decide to go beyond being hobbyists, then obviously we will have to hurdle the huge process.

I will try to get a couple pictures and maybe a video up tonight for you guys!

Heres a picture of a home-made hydroponics raft...

We had the pool 18' diameter, 4' deep, covered, and with these growing on it we kept nitrates down below 20 at all times, and for the most part below 10.

We just grew them with sunlight, and kept them on the top of our settling tank.

You cant keep them on top of the pacu, because they will eat the roots.
