Jack Dempsey with Red head

Just wondering if anyone knew if a red head on a JD was anything significant. I did some research and found nothing on the subject, and had never seen a JD with a red spot this prominent on its head. The fish is only about 3"".

I got him yesterday. He was the only fish in the tank when i got him, and already had the red complextion to him. Also he's the only JD in my tank.

There are certain local populations of Rocio octofasciata in the cenotes of the Yucatan, that seem to have more red than others.
And Rocio ocotal from Lake Ocotal in Chiapas often sport a very pink overall base color.
