Jag

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If jags in aquaria would average around 18"...They would have Dovii requirements. They usually get no bigger than 14"-16".

Biggest I've seen is around 15" mark. Awesome looking predators. I'm raising a 4" jag right now...looks like a probable male so Ima try to see how big he grows.:headbang2

A pair of jags will be fine in a 75....IF.....you have a divider in there where the female can get away from the male if things get iffy.

mmmm ben is right...people do it all the time...a jag size that people say all depends on how well you take care of the fish and, the individual itself..the cells grow faster the better you feed it and the cleaner the water is so a fish will only grow if its surroundings are clean..and healthy..a 75 could house a pair though..

I have my female in a 130g (6'x2'x1.5') on her own, the growth rate when I first got her was quite fast, but now at 8" its slowed down, but she is filling out.

After my Jag hit 8" it grew pretty slow after that.

congrats on the new little guy.

Lets see some pics already :nilly: :D

i would post pics but someone beat the crap outta him..

even then, 75 gallon is small, 75 would be enough for a female they get to about 13" uassally, males are the ones that can get to 16" if treated properly, i have seen a 14" male jag in a 75, and it way WAY crowded, the fish was huge the tank wasn't, imo, for a pair 125 gallons+ is required
