Jaguar Cichlid or Senegal Bichir / Questions

Which of the 2 do you prefer?

i'm not 100% on the width but i know it's a 100g long, i believe 6 feet - the reason they're getting rid of it is because they're getting a new 100g but a shorter one to take up less room
 
width i'm not 100% sure, but the more i think about it i'm almost positive it's a 100gallon long style, 6 foot length - if i get the bichirs i don't want african cichlids with them i prefer the fuller bodied look of SA, and my girlfriend likes jack dempseys and green terrors so those would probably be the 2 choices, who knows im just glad i have other people to give me input that know more about this than i do haha so i appreciate all this input and hope that even more comes in

It's probably 72x18x19 (LxWxH).

^^ that sounds about right i know its slightly less than 2ft wide

You could have a pair of sens in that tank with the jag.Or 2 sens and a jack dempsey,and a green terror. If you go with the sens,JD and GT,you could probably have a school of 10 or so tiger barbs too. Add the barbs and sens first,then the cichlids,if that is something you would want to do.
 
^^ that would be really cool, but wouldn't the sens eat the tiger barbs? i thought tigers only got like 2-3 inches
 
From what I've been told (been considering the same mix in another thread) the barbs are fast enough and ballsy enough that the sens don't really get to them. I'll probably be adding a shoal of about 8 barbs to my 65 w/ two sens and a jack dempsey....but they sens are still 4" & less so I won't be able to tell you much about long term compatibility:\

Its funny...I was almost convinced to do the 2 sens, JD & GT in my 65 :\ Basically gonna have the same setup minus the GT though.


If I were you, I'd probably do the jd/gt/2sens/10~t.barbs. I think that would be a badass setup if you do the decor right.

Then again...jags are pretty damn sweet too
