Jaguar cichlid Tank mates and tank size

Tank is running about 6months I dont know whats with my fish if i point to the glass with the finger they didnt react but before 3days normally i pointed to the top of the aquarium they come out a start eating but today just nothing laying on the bottom eating but not pretty well..

Jaguar tankmates- is it wise to purchase a jaguar cichlid smaller then the rest of the my american cichlids or the same size
( community tank )?
