Jaguar + Green Terror ?

weedmaese-I kind of get your point about fishes not reaching full potential-for example putting a Dovii in a 240 gallon-a bit crammed for a full sized Dovii but not ridiculously crammed-now try the same with a RTC-maybe your right maybe it wont reach 5 feet but that cat will atleast atleast atleast reach 3 feet-so your philosophy depends on the tank size and what type of fish you are talking about. I too use a 30 gallon for a hospital or grow out tank but for fish under 8 inches-anything larger I use a used 90 gallon.

lol its a pretty simple concept not really that hard to think about
everybody wants whats better for them.

lets say
If you only can make 5$ an hour for the rest of your life until you die and you had the chance to make 7 dollars and make a difference which one would you pick? same concept applying to my statement "I provide better care than the previous owner" I will decide for my fish and choose 7$ even though it was a small change. It was better and besides i stated many times ITS A HOSPITAL TANK and I have other tanks he can go into. I don't know why people here have to make it so hard

That was like comparing apples to Volvos. That doesn't even make sense.

i don't know how it doesn't make sense to you i guess i can go a lil more simple than that just for you buddie

1 dollar
or 2 dollars

lol

I love it when people use "buddy" or "bro" in a derogatory sense.

I just want to concur w/ the good advice that has been given by Hawkfish and the others

How does comparing living conditions for your fish and choosing a job based on wage make sense?

Your fish has no choice as to what tank you put it in. You obviously have a choice as to which job you want to do. You're talking about your choices concerning two completely different things. In one example, your choice affects your own well being. In the other example, your choice affects the well being of your fish.

Not the same.

I might add that I think you're simple enough already.

I do not know rescue shelters beat and starve there animals where did you get this information from? but anyhow I certainly don't starve or beat my fish. I said "even in the 30 i provide better care" I'm just saying he is way better off rite now than before. I'm not keeping him in the 30 for life. lets be real
If you read what i wrote i'm healing him and he is getting alot better. :D what do you guys want me to do hospital him in a 120G?:ROFL::ROFL:

well..yes, what's so funny about providing the proper requiernments for a fish?, you don't need a small tank to provide adequate meds. i'm sure your 13" jag is just loveing a 30 gal. what kind of filtration do you have on the tank, and what kind of daily matenince do you do on your hospital tank.

i ask because, a tank that small plus inadequate filtration and matenince, will accually contribute to your fishes poor health and (HITH).

if you have a 120 now, give him a 120 now.

Here is the unfortunate bottom line no matter what we say or do there will always be people who will buy the fish anyways-Here is an example:
Every week my LFS order 5-6 RTC and sells them within 3-4 days. Now very few people in El Paso let alone in NE El Paso have tanks large enough for a RTC-but people don't care they but the fish anyways-Case in point one guy a Millitary Man was purchasing a RTC and I asked him if he knew how large they get and said "yeah that is why I am buying it these things get huge" Then I asked what tank he planned to put the fish in and he said "55 gallons!" People this wasn't the only guy hardly anyone in my area has anything larger than a 55 gallon tank, yet the store owner orders fish like Sturgeons, RTC, RTC X TSN hybrid every week and sells them quick-so really in the long run no matter what we say or do we are pretty much powerless because there will always be a money hungry store owner and an ignorant customer.

Weedamese-I get your point but at the same time I don't-I can see buying a 55 gallon and putting an Oscar in but there are certain fish that unless we have swimming pools we should not get-like a RTC.
