What would I have done??? For starters, I would never have it in the first place, nor would I have taken it (or its parents) out of the wild, nor would I do such a dumb thing as go into its cage......

Who the hell goes in a cage with a wild cat that is known to kill people by nature? That was REAL SMART - People pay for their mistakes, I say.

Yet you keep fish in captivity?

FYI, the breeding of large cats in zoos is a way to ensure the species, as well as to help the wild population in both numbers and in that zoos can get their zoos from other sources. Poaching happens, and is very hard to stop. Some zoos have animals, large cats in particular, that are rescued from private sources that acquired the animals in illegal means. Without zoos taking these animals the animals would just be killed. Please do not be so disrespectful towards entities that are promoting animals, and the protection of said animals.

Despite the fact I did include "or its parents" I wanted to also address the fact that a jaguar is a jaguar is a jaguar, captive bred, F1, F2, or F100. They are known for killing humans. Simple as that. The lady entered his territory. Maybe she had more balls than most men, but it also shows a degree of stupidity in doing so.
Case in point, relevant to MFK.... take a baby captive hatched piranha, lovingly raise it to a foot in length. Is it going to lose its ability to do harm? Nope.

Of course I've been to zoos. Do I support them? No. I support the preservation of species and conservation, but I am strongly against the whole adage of how animals are commonly kept under zoo conditions. But this doesn't excuse a stupid mistake on a person's part that gets herself killed.
