there fav food and what is good for them 2 dif things, I am aqueon cichlid pellet fan these days. looks large enough to take in a jumbo but i get the medium for now. freeze dried jumbo krill as a treat once or twice a week soaked in boyds-vita chem over night, not sure this help but my male and female as little guys. look at body of them not fin,

Yep that's right we can,t live on ice cream, i have found ocean nutrition's cichlid omni pellets by far the favorite food for my cichlids which is great because it does not foul the water like a lot of other stuff only wish they had a larger pellet size.

Thanks for the video i can see now why its so hard to tell.
I,ll have to wait and see,i have noticed most of these type of threads end now hopefully i remember to update there progress.

Actually I am thinking it is a male.

At this point, I actually am starting to think they are BOTH males.....so hard to tell on the smaller ones, especially when they have both sex-characteristics.

if refering to the vid, thats a male and a female, my mated pair when they where younger.

had an older vid but deleted it, at first they looked absolutely the same when the male was smaller than her by about an inch. only the slope of the head gave it away, when side by side.
