Jaguar Male or Female

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Is that the same fish spoonted? The First pic I thought it was female but the body shape and non-yellow coloring seemed male to me. My male sometimes shows the bars and can throw ppl off.

The fish in post #1 is different to the fish in post #9.

Both fish were very skinny but are now eating well. Fish no.1 so well that it is now in my 180 gal with a 25 cm Oscar and a 20 cm green terror. Not a long term set up, but everyone getting along just fine with the Oscar being pushed out of the road by the jag for food.

The other jag will be in the isolation tank untill it starts eating pellets, and fills out a bit more.

Looks wise I think but have no experience is no 2 in post 9 is male but no.1 has a hell of a attitude.

Fish one I would guess 70% sure female, fish to I'm 95% sure male, I would say I'm pretty experienced with jag but Not an expert like pops or Evz jardini Evz jardini .

^^ I don't know about expert Justin ;):D
The first PIC looks female to me head shape , lateral line , pattern.
The second looks male , he looks like he's going through a growth spurt hence the long shape :D couple of months on decent foods he'll be filling out

Thanks for your help .

Congratulations on the spawn hopefully they'll hatch , my female takes no crap off my male and he's nearly double her size I've never used a divider with them I just leave them to it lol
