Essentially... none. Its just that this is the first time anyone has ever gotten a recessive translucent dermal gene to exist in a viable fish population.

y?
its only a selectively breed goldfish. no different like bottomfeeder asked and kdrun stated than albino fish or any other color morph.
and its a good idea. they can now study these fish much closer without needing to kill it. i want 1!

i think these goldfishes aint healthy.

Natural sun light is going to be really bad for them as they lack any natural pigments to protect them from UV light.

Ok, so they won't survive in the wild. Most goldfish varieties won't.

Other than that.... they will be just as healthy as any other tank bred fish.

Eh, I wouldn't say that. The Goldfish were genetically altered, right? It's not like they dipped it in acid, stripped it of its imune system, and stabbed it dozens of times, lol
I was'nt aware that the glass fish were dipped in acid but I think that they are both equally ugly.

I believe its the tattooed blood parrots that are dipped in acid to remove their slime coat. For them to be able to inject the dye. Could be same process with glass fish.

Hey, since when are fish lower than frogs?
