I will get another test sample tomarrow at work.

.sand in the tank...sand in the river.......same thing.
Sand in the river is under constant movement till it finds it's way hidden in the bed rock filling the crevises and such.
Our aquariums do not remain under constant renewed water flow.
What about the silt, gravel, rocks, wood, and all the other things that comprise the riverbed? They make up alot more of the bottom than sand. Sand is carried all the way to the ocean...
Any of the Amazon river settings I have seen in professionally prepared aquariums contain all of them. Must be a reason huh?
So sand in the tank and sand in the river is not the same thing

Kid, you are much dumber than you look..and after seeing your pix..

Sorry? Me..no not to you..statement I said..if you understand anything..is I don't want your arse..because I don't go that route..unlike you...I don't care for greek style..if you know what that means.

Hurt? No...just goes to show how immature you are that if you disagree you need to use words that are irrevelant...altho you may have thought you were cute by spelling it differently "arse". I have seen ppl here get into disagreements...but mostly its handled in an adult way, but most of your repsonses are rude to others. I guess you still got a lot of growing up to do.

Guess mommy and daddy didn't teach you properly on being a decent person, eh?

My apologies to others here...it was not my intention to get into a silly arguement...but I'm old school..and people should at least show the respect to others without being rude.
There are tactful ways to disagree and get your message across as I have seen with plenty of posters here, and you guys know who you are.:)

Thats how you get the respect of others, kid...you need to understand that.

On that note, I'm done wasting time on you. In the future maybe you'll understand and grow up to be a decent person.

Have a nice day. :grinno:

My arowana wasnt eating today and my guess was that he was full. Since arowanas tend to starve them selfs after they have eaten too much.

I only feed him a meal worm in the moring, and about 3-4 crickets at night each day. And once in awhile a feeder guppy.

Then, checked up on him before i head to bed and i see abunch of dead shreaded mealworms and a ball of stuff that looks like crickets and guppies put togeather. Now, i didnt feed him anything or had left over food today so it must of came from him.

Is this normal?!

If the fella still eating while you're typing this here then it's fine. Just dun overfeed him right now and adding a little bit more aquarium salt in the tank will help in easing some form of discomfort in the tummy.

Hey Prophet.... I'm going to attempt the harmony... I have two young aros, and one 125 gallon, right now they're separate in 30 gallon tanks because they're still small. I'm going to try to get them used to each other.... any tips?

you gunna need alot of luck

high chance 2 aros will not get along with each other but there are cases where it does work, but then again.....

and a 125 isnt big enough enough for 2, its not even big enough for one. you gunna upgrade when they outgrow it?
