I just called the place where I bought it from and he said that he is not sure but it might have been Century Arms.

Just look at the rifle, it should say on the receiver some where.

I dont know if you guys have heard thisyet but there was gun show in our area(Valley Forge)this past weekend and when it was over,one of the dealers had his guns that he didnt sell in the trunk of his car.He stopped at a restaurant and while there,someone got his trunk open and stole all of the guns.I just read this in the paper last night but I dont remember the exact number of guns that were stolen, it said that they were mostly long guns and some machine guns as the newspaper put it.

We had a similar thing happen out by me. This guy broke into a gun shop near me and stole over 80 guns. Lucky for the owner he got caught and most of the guns were recovered. This was a 20 year old kid that did this too! He's probably getting life in prison if found guilty. I hope it was worth it.

You live in Illinois, your SOL when it comes to getting weapons like these. Move to a free state.

I feel lucky, my state was rated the worst by the Brady Campaign to prevent Hangun Violence when it comes to gun restrictions. Guns are very common and very easy to get, legally. Funny that my state is also always on the lower end of states that have violent crime. Yours is the exact opposite!

If you are interested in purchasing your first weapon (doesnt sound like youre very experienced) head up to your local gun specialty shop and ask questions. As long as you dont look at like a thug punk the fellars there will be more then happy to assist you in purchasing the weapon. These days more then ever we need to exercise our rights at every chance we can get!

Get one! Its just a Remington 870 Wingmaster. Probably the most common shotgun in the country, maybe even the world. The 870 express is pretty much the same thing, just a cheaper finish. Thats actually better for home defense since its a matte black vs glossy like the wingmaster. You can buy new ones for around $250. A good police trade in can be had for around $100 if you know where to look!

The factory folding "LEO" stocks are pretty rare and pricey. Expect to pay around $150 for it. Honestly I bought it as a collector piece as the those stocks are a litteral PAIN to shoot and will bruise you up pretty good.

I am thinking about taking the stock off and selling the wingmaster with out a stock for around $150. Its not really what I need. Its a 20" barrel model with rifle sights that are better suited for deer hunting. I want an 18" barrel (min length that does not require it to be an NFA weapon) with a peep sight.
