Yeah, I happen to have an enormous space in my basement for the 1500 gallon tank/pond I have planned.

most excellent, don't worry some people enjoy the shock value of telling someone they have a fish that gets huge(i'm guilty from time to time), but by the sounds of it you know that and have planned accordingly.

Yeah, hes growing in the 60 now. Then hes going to the 150 in a month or so. Then that gives me about 1.5 years to finish the indoor pond. If I need more time I am just going to get one of those pools and set it up in the basement so he'll have atleast 1000 gallons.

^lol. my girl is not really into fish but she loves looking at the tank. she gets mad though when one agressive cichlid chases another one. she likes boring fish that get along with other fish :nilly:

LOL from a 10-gallon tank to a 1500 gallon indoor pond in 6 months... Welcome to the addiction! :headbang2

Haha, its crazy. I am even thinking of getting a job at a LFS that the owners set up the whole system by themselves just to learn some more before I make this pond.

I am a women..and being i am a women i think that your girlfriend should be told up front that this has now become your hobby that you enjoy.. and being you are still single i think you have every right to enjoy a few benefits from your own money.. as she would do from hers... just try to be fair and supportive in things she may like also.. if you let this girl dictate what you spend your money on now just think of the control she will have later when or if you both marry.. things should be fair between a couple.. and if you get this much enjoyment out of fishkeeping then i think it ranks priority status in your life.
